100 of America's Most Loved Books to Be Featured in Documentary

If you're looking for a good book, look no further! PBS has put together a list with 100 of America's most loved books, ranging from classics to modern day favorites. This list was created as part of an eight-episode documentary, The Great American Read, which explores reading in American culture. It airs May 22nd and is hosted by Meredith Viera. A unique feature of the documentary is the ability for the audience to vote online for their favorite book. The winner will be announced on the final episode and will be named "America's Most Loved Novel."

You can find classic books on the list, such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Catch-22, Charlotte's Web, The Great Gatsby, Moby-Dick, Pride and Prejudice, and To Kill and Mockingbird. While you may have already read these books, it's likely been a while. And reading a book at different ages gives you a fresh perspective. If you're looking for something written more recently, you can find some good options, such as Gone Girl, The Da Vinci Code, and Fifty Shades of Grey. You'll also notice many of the books have been made into movies.

With a list this long and diverse, you're sure to find a few books that interest you. You will be able to vote for your favorite book online once the documentary airs, on The Great American Read website.

Happy reading!
