This list was created as part of an eight-episode documentary, The Great American Read, which explores reading in American culture. It airs May 22nd and is hosted by Meredith Viera. A unique feature of the documentary is the ability for the audience to vote online for their favorite book. The winner will be announced on the final episode and will be named "America's Most Loved Novel."
