You’re Getting Better With Age - Your Makeup Should, Too
By CRYSTAL MARTIN NOV. 15, 2017

The New York Times recently featured an article that brings up the topic of modifying your makeup routine and products as you age. Change can be hard. Often, it's easier to stick with what works - what you've possibly been doing and using for many, many years - rather than taking the time to learn or look for something new. However, as you age, your skin changes, and what used to enhance may start to detract. Different application techniques may work better, and different products may give you better results.

The article features advice from makeup artist Carolina Dali, who works with famous clients, such as Sharon Stone. Some of her advice:

  • Use powder to fill in your eyebrows, as they thin over time
  • Use a dewy foundation, as matte tends to flatten the face
  • Use a liner on your lips to help keep your lipstick in place as your lips start to crinkle
