My parents are survivors from Cambodia. They came after the Khmer Rouge took over the country in the 70s. Both sides of their family were executed or scattered from one another. There story is amazing but it is one that is not often told. They came to the U.S. with literally nothing but just the will to live and start their lives. Today, we are proud to be living in the U.S. with the opportunities we have in front of us today.
