For retiring I would suggest South Carolina, because of tax benefits it offers.

My parents are looking for a retirement community, they live an active lifestyle. We are considering California and Florida as the locations as these places offer several activities. However some of the retirement communities at these places are way out of our budget. Any suggestions for affordable yet good communities for seniors?
