Between 1946 and 1964, the United States experienced an exceptionally high rate of birth that we have since come to call the Baby Boom. In part because of their sheer numbers, the generation born during this period have had a profound impact on society and the economy throughout all the stages of their lives.
But what happened during those early years that may have influenced the Baby Boomers? And what was going on during the year you were born? What was the world like back when you were too young to remember it?
To show you what life was like when you were very young, The Boomer Initiative has created Web pages that provide a slice of life for each year of the Baby Boom. It's a fun way to learn about your heritage.
