Can you imagine the looks you'd get from children today if you were to gift them a a toy that you received at the holidays when you were a kid? They might be confused, amused, dissapointed, even incredulous.
Kids these days. Have you found yourself muttering this before? Our childhoods were vastly different...many would argue in a good way. At Christmas our stockings weren't stuffed with electronic gadgets and cell phones. We didn't have iPads and drones under our tree. Instead, our holidays included much simpler toys. But at the time, they didn't look or seem simple, did they? They were the new "it" thing, the hot item that kids wrote on their wish list before mailing it to Santa.
So, let's have some fun and take a look back at the most wanted toys from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, when we were kids. See how many you remember. Maybe some of them hold a special place in your heart or memory.
And a lot of these items you'll still find under Christmas trees...usually an updated version with more bells and whistles, of course.
