If you have a pet, chances are your furball has given you some good laughs through the years. If you're lucky and have quick hands, you may have gotten some of those funny moments on camera. Funny animal pictures and memes dominate the internet nowadays, flooding social media channels. They provide comic relief for nearly everyone because, well, who doesn't enjoy a cute or funny animal?

Now, taking pictures of your cat or dog is one thing, but photographing animals in the wild is much harder and requires more skill. The results can be amazing though…so much so, that there's actually an award dedicated to the funniest wildlife photograph each year. The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards announced 41 finalists for this year's award and the winner will be announced November 15th. Animals photographed include lions, polar bears, birds, frogs and squirrels, among many others.
